Feather Labs Book a call

For owner-run businesses

Get your evenings back.

Three admin jobs off your plate in two weeks.

I set up AI that quietly runs the admin in the background: the calls, the chasing, the inbox. It's built into the tools you already use, and it checks with you before anything important. £2,500, fixed, and you only pay if it works.

You don't need to keep up with AI. That's my job.

    1. You talk about your business. What eats your time, and what you'd like to be better. No jargon needed.
    2. I filter the noise. Most AI tools aren't worth your time. I build with this stuff every day, so I know which ones are, and where they fall over.
    3. You get an outcome, not a tech project. Fewer missed calls, a quieter inbox, invoices paid on time.
    4. I keep you current. Over half of UK firms now use AI, but only about one in ten small firms go beyond a general chatbot. What these tools can do changes every month. I keep an eye on it for you, and bring you what's worth using. Source: BCC, 2026

    What your business needs

Missed calls answered and booked in

    Inbox sorted with replies drafted

The small jobs that eat your week.

    Out of hours19:12
How much is a first appointment, and have you got anything Saturday?
It's £65 for the first one. I've got 10:00 or 11:30 on Saturday. Which suits?
    10 please.
    Booked: Saturday, 10:00
    • It knows your business. Connected to the systems you already use, not a chatbot guessing.
    • It asks before it acts. Everything starts as a draft for your OK. You decide what it does on its own.
    • It's yours. Built in your own accounts. You can see what it did, and switch it off.

    Real problems, fixed properly.

Products I've built and run, and work I've done for clients.

Fifteen minutes, two weeks, and you only pay if it works.

    1. Free

      A 15-minute call

You tell me what eats your week. I tell you straight whether I can help. If I can't, you've lost fifteen minutes.

    2. Two weeks

      A two-week sprint

I spend time with you and your team, in person if you're in or around London, and see how things actually run. We pick three jobs and write down what "working" means for each, in terms you can check, like "every missed call gets a text back within five minutes". Then I build it in your own accounts and show everyone how it works.

    3. At the end

      You pay if it works

We check each job together against what we wrote down. If it works, you pay. If it falls short, you don't. No arguments and no small print.

Once the first three are running, most people keep going. That's where it gets interesting.

Start with three jobs. Then keep going.

    To start

    £2,500

Fixed. Three jobs in two weeks.

You only pay if it works. We agree what "working" means before I start.

    • Three admin jobs automated, start to finish
    • Set up in your own accounts, so you own all of it
    • Your team shown how it works, with written notes

The tools have their own monthly fees, paid by you directly to the provider. I'll tell you what they'll come to before we start.

    After that: your AI operator

Your eyes and ears on AI.

AI moves every month. I keep watch, and keep your business ahead of it, so you don't have to.

    • The next jobs, one at a time. Whatever's eating your week now that the first three aren't.
    • Joining things up. Your inbox, diary, accounts and phone passing work between them, so nobody copies anything across.
    • Looking after it. Keeping everything running, and improving it as your business changes.
    • Keeping you ahead. A short monthly note on what's new and actually worth it for your business, and I set it up.

A simple monthly fee, agreed up front. Stop whenever you like.

    Josh

    I'm Josh.

AI engineer. I build AI agents that run in production, and help businesses work out which uses of AI are worth it.

    Builds
Production AI agents, including Ava, an AI receptionist for estate and letting agents, and Patch, an AI that makes real phone calls and asks a person when it isn't sure.
    Advises
Businesses that can't keep pace with AI on what's actually worth using, and what isn't.
    Works
In person around London, remotely anywhere in the UK, from the first conversation until it works.

Some people call this being a forward deployed engineer. I'd just call it turning up.

    Fair questions.

    What if it doesn't work?

Then you don't pay. We agree in writing what "working" means for each job before I start, so neither of us is guessing at the end.

Is it safe to let AI send things for me?

It doesn't, until you say so. Everything starts as a draft: it prepares, you approve. Once you've watched it get things right, you choose what it can do on its own. You can see everything it's done, and switch it off.

Do you only work in London?

No. I'm based in London, so I can come in and sit with your team. Anywhere else in the UK, we work over video and I'll visit when it helps.

    Which AI do you use?

Whichever does the job best. Usually models from Anthropic and OpenAI, through their business services, which don't train on your data. You don't need to pick. I'll explain what's used where.

Do I need to be good with computers?

No. The point is that things get simpler for you. I set it up, show you and your team how it works, and leave notes in plain English.

What about patient and client data?

Everything is set up in your own accounts. Before anything touches personal data, I'll walk you through which tools see what and where it's stored, so you can decide.

What if I've got more than three jobs?

Most people do. We start with the three that hurt most. If it goes well, we can talk about the next three.

    What are your three?

Fifteen minutes on the phone. You tell me what's eating your week, and I'll tell you whether I can take it off you.

You only pay if it works.
